Flight Time Baby!

So, I posted awhile back about my 2 options for flight training:

1.  a local flying club (with an initial song up fee of $1,500) & rental of $50, CFI at $40, and gas..

2. a friend who owns a 172, but I would have to get named on his insurance. 

I THINK I HAVE OPTION NUMBER 2 locked down!! I called the insurance  company & was working with them & the owner of the 172 (Louie) this whole past couple weeks. I was praying “please God help my copay be $500 or under, $400 or under! I know I’m cheap, but please I know you can...” so I find out that not only is my copay only $156, but Louies policy will end this July so I’m literally renting his 172 for exactly the time I need it before I leave to school, five or take 2 weeks!!!!!

I also realize July 24th is the exact date my church youth choir leaves to Romania, back to the motherland for a mission trip. Of course I want to go!!! Somehow I know that this Summer is going to be a record book for the bank account haha, but ultimately I’m praying if I need to be somewhere, I’ll get there somehow! 

Tomorrow I might be going to the airport to meet with my CFI Stephen & Louie to go over the 172 quirks, so Louie can show us his plane more in-depth etc. Then I pay him the money and get flying! I still need to buy a sectional (a map!) for my area & some other minor things, but I have my main supplies like headset. Oops, remembered I need a logbook still too! 

I’m SO excited, but today was also a 14 hr day at work (a jet called in late & I stayed to fuel it & get the the extra $40 callout fee + make more money for couple extra hours YE) so I wanted to post this reaally quick update & then practice guitar & go to bed! I want to try to gopro film my first flight, but I still haven’t gotten the proper audio cord to be able to link up to the radios in the aircraft I need to buy some already! I will take pictures for sure! But Louie hasn’t responded so we may not be meeting tomorrow, but either way it’ll be (please God) very very soon!!!

1. I applied to more scholarships, yee

2. IM REALLY CLOSE TO BEING ON SPRING BREAK YES FINALLY I have about 2 more short essays left!!!

3. Gods been teaching me a lot, especially about trust & tithing & faith, & I really plan on making a video & blog post on it soon!

4. I’m actually signed up for classes in San Diego but haven’t put my tuition deposit down yet haha oops.

5. weather is still bad here, but I really wanna get my intro flight in at least before April!
