A Wild Ride (turning 21!)

So, the winds are upon us.

Here in the Pacific Northwest the sightseeing is beautiful, but weather not so much. We get this thing called an “Katabatic Wind” and it’s so famous apparently it’s even in the Jeppesen Private Pilot course I had online on my laptop! It talks about the winds here in the NW.

So, that wind is here & it’s pretty much here to stay. Oh, and the quote is just because I really like it! I also want this to sort of be my theme for 2019, honestly it has been for my whole life and it IS my YouTube channel name + mantra pretty much!

It isn't blowing EVERYDAY, thankfully, but on the days it isn't it's generally raining and/or we have icing warnings, or low ceilings, so many issues with weather currently! I have a very hopeful plan for this Feb 23rd, hoping to fly to the NW Aviators Conference. But, weather. I'm really praying we'll get some mild warm weather so we can make it!

Meanwhile, I turn 21 this week! I'm ready. Wait, I said that last year and that was a HARD year!! But I really do feel it. I've been knocked down before, got up, I've had hard times, I'm still alive, and the hard times are now gone. For IFR training, I have no idea how any of it is going to come about but I'm ready to at least see. I'm ready to at least try. I'm currently in school full time, taking some business and general pre-req classes and it's been an awesome term! My favorite class is my dance PE class of 1 credit, but I do like my business ones too! This means I do have more time, but I have been really focusing on applying for jobs, scholarships, school, and you YouTube channel!

But because it is midterms this week, I'm not sure how much celebrating I'll be doing. I really want to go hear some live music, but we're also expecting snow ALL of next week. I like snow days, I love snow days. Or, more correctly, singular: snow da(y). After 1 day, I feel antsy from being home and need to leave. Hard to do when the roads are paved with black ice!

I'll publish this now and come back later to update it with my YT video and what I end up doing for my bday! But I also have to go work on my pitch presentation for business class and my next blog post about passing my IFR written exam!

Yes, I have been busy while not posting. Winter Break wasn't just sipping hot cocoa and watching TV. (;

UPDATE: It snowed hard, I just went on a nice snow winter walk, got some free coffee from Starbucks, did errands, chilled. But here's the fun video I promised! :)
